QUALITY AND THE FACTORY

To Polti, quality is the product of a specific strategic choice aimed at improving customer satisfaction. This choice is confirmed by the company’s firm intention of keeping 95% of its production at the Bulgarograsso plant in Italy.


QUALITY SYSTEM
Polti's quality system has been certified under Uni En ISO 9002 standards since November 1997. And was reconfirmed on December 15, 2003 when IMQ (Istituto Marchio Qualità – Italian Institute for the Quality Brand) certified Polti's quality system in accordance with the new requirements of ISO 9001:2008, better known as "Vision 2000".


PRODUCTIVE CAPACITY
  POLTI PLAST
The Bulgarograsso plant covers a total of 25,000 m2, including a 3500 m2 production area.
Every day up to 3500 devices are produced, which means about 700,000 pieces per year.
  Founded in 1994, Polti Plast manufactures almost all plastic components for Polti machines.
Each plastic component is carefully checked by the press operator who verifies its conformity. Polti’s Quality Control Dept. performs 4 checks a day on all parts produced.

ASSEMBLY LINES
  QUALITY CONTROL
Polti S.p.a has 17 assembling lines.
Appliances are put together in a step-by-step assembly process which normally starts at their heart - the boiler – followed by addition of other components such as the pressure switch, thermostat, solenoid valve, wiring, plastic parts, etc. All products are subjected to electrical, aesthetic and functional inspection at the end of each assembly line.
  Quality Control conducts another strict check of a 2% sample of finished products packaged up ready for sale, in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 procedures, testing electrical parameters, operation of the appliance and all its accessories and the completeness of the documentation required. Some of the samples taken are subjected to verification of the conformity of assembly, dismantling and inspecting all components of the open appliance.

AUTOMATIC PALLETTISING
  FULLY AUTOMATIC WAREHOUSE
The automatic palletise is operated by a computer in which “pallet” parameters are entered every day on the basis of production schedules. Up to 3500 machines are identified, distributed, packed and sent to the finished products warehouse automatically every day.   The fully automatic warehouse can store all end-products tidily and safely and they can be rapidly tracked for prompt loading on the trucks.
